Emma is a writer, performer, improviser and podcast host. She has been selected for the Channel 4 Screenwriting Programme 2019.

 

Recent writing credits include: Armour (VAULT festival), The Guardians (Almeida Theatre) and five-star comedy Split co-written and performed with comedian Tamar Broadbent (Brighton Fringe, Leatherhead Theatre, Bunker Theatre and Vault Festival 2018 – winner of Festival Spirit Award). She is Resident Playwright at Caspa Arts and her play ‘Twistmas, co-written with Michelle Payne, premiered at the Bunker Theatre in December 2018.

 

She has been commissioned by Almeida Participation to write a play for young people to perform in 2019, inspired by the true story of 16th century pirate Grace O’Malley.

 

Emma trained in long-form improvisation at The Free Association and performs with their house team The Millicent Tendrils Experience.

 

She co-hosts popular feminist podcast Heroine Addicts and writes a comedy lifestyle blog about millennial anxiety called 24 Dilemmas.

 

Emma previously worked with the creative team at the Almeida Theatre.
